We created this build for a great client in Missouri, USA. This western red cedar log structure is 2 floors with solid log walls, and we built 2 separate floors at the log yard that would fit onto each other at the log home location. The stunning design was created by RCM Cad Design Ltd.

Real, Handcrafted Log Homes that are built using the whole diameter of the log, giving the thickness of the walls to be anywhere from 12 – 18 inches thick are “naturally passive”.
When you are building a log home, one major decision is what type of logs to use. If you want your log home to have a uniqueness with a natural, cozy log look, then Western Red-cedar is the type of log you’d choose.
We had the opportunity to build this gem for a great couple up in the mountains of Alpine, Arizona. We built the log shell at our log yard in Rosedale, British Columbia and then drove to the build location with the logging truck for reassembly. The log shell is ready to be finished off by the client’s choice of a local builder.

Trees can develop interesting features, given their growing conditions and environment. Usually, a tree will grow having the different bands creating “rings” throughout the growth of the tree. The two bands look different because the small cells created by the tree in the Summer absorb more light and there for look darker.
