New Mexico Log Home Project
The northwestern quadrant of New Mexico is dominated by the Colorado Plateau, characterized by unique volcanic formations, dry grasslands and shrub-lands, open pinyon-juniper woodland, and mountain forests. The Chihuahuan Desert, which is the largest in North America, extends through the south. This beautiful landscape is going to be the destination for the log home we’re currently building up at the log yard.
This log home is being built with Douglas fir logs. Douglas Fir logs have the highest softwood lumber grades for several of its structural properties, including its significant ability to bend, and its structural strength. Important factors like these make Douglas Fir an ideal candidate for building a log home or log cabin. Off the entryway off this log home design is a large covered area for your vehicle, also known as a “porte cochère”, and off of the back will be a lovely covered deck for an outdoor oven! Ideal for entertaining in this stunning New Mexico Log Home!
