Noodling and creating a natural heat source.
Winter and early Spring can bring many cold days to the Cascade Handcrafted Log Yard. So how do the guys keep warm? They make themselves a fire log by plunging into the log against the grain.
This is also known as “noodling” because of the stringy dry paper created by the angle of the cut. In these videos, Markus is showing us the natural paper that is created and also his version of the “Swedish Fire Log” or “Canadian Candle”.
