• Size - 18' x 20', log center to log center of the outside walls.
  Including the loft, this gives roughly 500 sq feet of inside floor space, plus a deck under the roof overhang at the front.
• Douglas Fir logs, 10% extra for Western Red Cedar.

Extra costs

• Site preparation - we can brief you on foundation requirements.
• Finishing - plumbing, electrical, heating, flooring, doors, windows, trim, etc.
• Shipping - FOB Chilliwack, British Columbia (this means shipping not included.) The cabin will fit in one truck or container.
• Customize - We will modify to your ideas - let us know what you are thinking and we can quote you.
• Installation - The log install takes 3 hours onto your foundation, and we will have the roof on in 2 days. If you are close to Chilliwack, we will even install it for you, for coffee and pizza. If you are far away, we are still happy to install it, but need to cover our costs for travel, hotels, food, and time away from our families - you get the idea.

Our Columbia Cabins have been very popular in various configurations, as cozy log guest cottages at ski resorts (above and below) and as private log getaway cabins or as off grid hideaways.

Owners have been reporting costs of around $35,000 (Canadian dollars) "dried in" — the cabin sitting on a foundation, and made tight with roof, windows and doors installed.
